We didn't pack all of our swim toys this trip. I'm not sure why! They usually take a few inflatable inner tubes. Jake was itching to do more than wade in the water.
So, he used his own money and bought a boogie board. WalMart sells some styrofoam ones for under $10. But, he was afraid that he would get what he paid for. He splurged and went for the name brand which was a bit sturdier, longer and had a leash attached. All that for $30.
The learning curve was steeper than he anticipated. I tried to remind him that he wasn't immediately successful with the inner tube catching waves either. But typical of Jake's personality, he is now convinced that it was a waste of money!
He braved the chillier than usual waters to play with his new toy.
It was fun just watching him!
