A First in the Year of Lasts !

We're gearing up for a little trip. I'm excited! We're headed to the Wisconsin Dells for a long weekend. It seems to be the capital of Waterparkland and I'm even more excited to know that our admission to THREE indoor waterparks is included in our stay. The only one not excited is Zac. He's just not a water lover. He will get into the pool one time and play a bit and pose for some pictures when we're on vacation--but it's not a favorite thing. The kids will be missing school Friday and Monday--you would think he would be more excited! But, he's taking this Senior year thing seriously and doesn't want to miss school. When we checked the calendar, we also noted that it's his Dad's weekend. So, after some discussion, another plan was hatched. Zac will be staying behind when we head out Friday morning --destination Wisconsin. He'll go to school (only scheduled for a half day anyway) on Friday. He'll spend the weekend with his Dad and come back home Sunday night. And, he'll go to school on Monday to check out a new schedule of classes on the first day of a new trimester. So, this will be the first vacation without Zac. Unfortunately, there is no plan B for Spring Break this year for the nonwater boy when we head to the Gulf of Mexico!
