Okay, I cannot believe how QUICKLY our house can get unbearably cold... We lost power to this ice storm about 9:30 a.m. That was about an hour and a half after we heard that the school finally decided to close for the day. Winter Break came early--and Daisy's trombone will sit at school for 2 weeks! The house was so cold that we were bundled in layers and blankets by 11:00 a.m. And, it definitely started making me think about making plans in case the power did not come back on within a couple of hours! I went out to take my pictures just after we lost power. We played games and took a nap. By 3:00 p.m. there was still no power, but Gary was home because no one was out shopping at Lowe's today! He must be the good luck charm because we had lights flick back on about 3:30 p.m. We are so thankful that it didn't last any longer and feel for those that we see on the news--actually having to decide to go to a shelter to stay warm.
