I am so happy and so proud of this guy right now! His letter of acceptance came in the mail today! He really IS going to go to college and pursue those dreams that have danced in his head. He's done his part so far and now we have to do ours. That is, get our taxes done as quickly as we can (and earlier than we have ever before in our lives!) so that we can apply for financial aid as soon as possible.
This IS his happy face! I tried to remind him that this means he really does get to leave this crazy place!
This is the first hurdle. He's into the University, but also has to apply to the College of Art. There is an Open House in February where he will present his portfolio for consideration and make his formal application to the College of Art! Just please, keep your fingers crossed that this boy can realize the meaning of the word DEADLINE before then!
