Betsy's hair has always been a reddish brown. It looks red for most of the year and then gets a little darker in the winter. She wanted to go REAL red!
I picked a coloring that was NOT permanent. I don't think a 6th grader should be dealing with "roots"! This is supposed to be semi-permanent and wash out gradually over 24 shampoos or so.
It looked a little scary going on...it was a deep purple while it was working. I was afraid she was going to have burgandy hair or something! And I showed her the trick that makes any color look more "natural"--color the eyebrows too!
Ta da!!!!!
And, in the sunlight. I like it! SHE loves it. All is good.
