It seems like we've been packing forever already! I lost my job on August 10th. What a miserable, horrific, paralyzing event. I'm responsible for 4 other people, a house, a car, and everything else that it takes to run a household and raise your children!
Decisions were made fairly quickly and hopefully with enough information. I will not reaffirm on the house. I can't imagine a job around here paying enough to afford the mortgage and 2nd mortgage PLUS my high car payment. So, we are going to move.
And the "where to move" question was discussed and reviewed and pondered. After talking with the kids, it was decided that this was the opportune time to make the big move to Michigan! Jake was my biggest concern--moving in the middle of the high school career is usually not desirable. HE is excited and all for the big change! The girls surprised me as well! They are very positive and excited to move and leave their school, friends and house behind.
So, we are packing up an entire 3 BR house that we have lived in for 7 years now. It's a VERY good thing that Craig works for a paper/bag company--he was able to get over 100 boxes (new and ready to be assembled) for us! We NEVER would have made it if we were relying on collecting boxes from stores.
Craig spent an entire weekend with me tackling closets that haven't been touched since we moved here. What a dirty, nasty, hard job.
We have so much stuff it's unbelievable!!
We started some serious packing on the 16th! It's a little confusing with Zac trying to pack his things for the big BSU move (back) in on the 18th.
