Usually. We live in a town that has an indoor community pool. We have been fortunate enough to be able to fit a membership into our budget for the last few years. The kids are all finally to the ages where I would feel comfortable letting them walk down to the pool to swim on their own. They were so looking forward to this summer of swimming every day! BUT, our pool was closed in late April/early May of this year. Immediately. All activities canceled and no swim lessons offered this summer. Indefinitely. They have no idea as to when it might reopen, be demolished and rebuilt or never reopened again! An architectural firm came in and inspected and explored in April and found severe structural problems. I'm not sure if it was damage or original errors. Either way, our wonderful pool is not available for this summer! The girls have only been swimming while on vacations this year.Caught in the act!
