Schoolcraft hosted Solo and Ensemble this year.
They decided that the percussion ensemble was too large to move to the stage, so they performed right in the band room.
Lu, our band director is directing Jake's ensemble and the judge is seated.
I love when they incorporate the "odds and ends" instruments. You know--trash cans, brake drums and their own sticks!
The judge had a lot of nice things to say and some great constructive criticism. In the end, they got GOLD! And will be headed to State Solo and Ensemble in March.
