Some of you may remember Spell Bowl from last year... it's a team academic event that is run quite a bit differently from a Spelling "Bee". There are 7 rounds of words. Each team sends one representative up to the table/chair setup that you see below. Each word is given verbally and used in a sentence. Then each student has a time frame to WRITE the word on a piece of paper. When time is up, the word is shown on the big screen and the moderator by each child then checks their spelling. If they get it right, they score a point for their team.

They scored a 28 out of 56 possible points. That was good enough for Gold and 1st Place in their division!
