Camp Crosley is a place and a program and an experience! Our 6th graders go for a 2 day stay. It's a gorgeous campground with excellent accommodations. There are many cabins that sleep more than a dozen, some have restrooms/showers attached. There is a dining hall, chapel, nurse's cabin and acres and acres of fun!
The program that we follow includes 6 activities and they vary every year. A staple is canoeing, though.
No babying here--they are responsible for everything--including getting the canoe down to the water and launching it.
Daisy and Desi --good buddies and they survived it all!
I went as a chaperone and group guide. My group of girls were all friends and allowed to choose their bunkmates. Then the teachers decided which bunkmates would be in which groups. This group lucked out in getting all friends together.
Almost all of these girls were involved with the camp talent show as well.
The game this year is GaGa. An Israeli dodge ball game. It has it's own unique set of rules and the kids are loving it!

The dodge ball is not thrown--it's hit. The participants can move anywhere in the "pit" and are out if the ball hits them anywhere from knees down.
A Bridge to Burma. They constructed the bridge themselves and each demonstrated that it could be walked upon and crossed.
